Insights / Brand Strategy
A Tourism Brand Should Still Work Without the Beach
A place-based brand can use the scenery without depending on it. The strongest systems remain recognisable even when there is no beach, sunset, or drone shot in the frame.
Tourism brands begin with an enviable asset: the place itself is visually compelling. That advantage becomes a trap when every page, campaign, and social post depends on the same destination imagery. A recognisable brand needs a foundation strong enough to carry people, history, culture, institutions, ecology, experiences, and everyday communication as well as scenery.
Start with the role the brand actually plays
Build a system people can recognise
Leave room for the place
Make the identity useful on ordinary days
In Practice
When the system has to carry more than promotion

Featured Brand Work
Turks & Caicos National Trust
Scope: Branding · Social Media Management · Short-Form Video · Digital Activations · Fundraising Campaigns
The Turks & Caicos National Trust needed an identity that could represent two responsibilities at once: protecting the islands’ natural environments and preserving the cultural heritage connected to them. The organisation also needed that identity to work for residents, visitors, supporters, community partners, and fundraising activity.
Caicos Media developed a complete brand system that gave the Trust a more cohesive and credible presence across its communications. The visual identity was supported by clearer storytelling around conservation, heritage, education, and participation, creating a stronger foundation for the organisation’s digital content and campaigns.
The system now carries across ongoing social content, short-form video, digital activations, and fundraising communication, helping the Trust present its work with greater consistency while keeping the focus on the places, people, and stories it exists to protect.
